The winds of March have come and gone—and on our
desks this month we have a pile of submissions for both
Sketchbook and Sketchbook II.
Three new books to
consider reading for March are in the Book Fair:
seasons of a hermitess:
101 haiku by an'ya”
. . .
Beads on Blossoms
By Andreas Gripp
Fire and Rain
By RD Armstong
If you are in the mood for a
good read try these three books. You have read the work of
these writers in Sketchbook. So go out and
splurge on a new book.
This month we present a
Cid Corman Tribute,
who passed away March 12, 2004.
Another feature for March is
the Sketchbook work of A. D. Winans who has
appeared monthly in Sketchbook since December
31, 2006; the feature also contains links to other A. D.
Winans work. Enjoy
A Retrospective of A.
D. Winans in
Sketchbook.
Saul Bernstein continues to
fascinate me with his monthly essays on art in
Reflected Wave. Enjoy the delightful
artistry of Saul Bernstein.
This month 66 different writers appear in
Sketchbook and
Sketchbook II.
It is time to think about
sending your submissions for the April issue. Please remember
that our deadline is the 20th of each month. It is so
pleasant every morning to open the mail and see your excellent
submissions early in the month—so much leisure time to
read and prepare the magazine pages. And then the last week
scramble of the month begins. Oh, the pleasures of
editing a journal!
