Haiku
bare feet on the
stairs
coffee and pop tarts on a tray
Mother’s Day breakfast
soft memory
her cameo at my throat
ashes in the wind
a silver greeting
between the mountains and sky
the dance of lightning
accept the mourning
as you accept the darkness
and the next sunrise
the dandelions
shift from gold to thistledown
as leaves and winds are turning
counted syllables
fall upon the linen page
beginners mind
behind the grey
clouds
the sun in all its glory
rises once again
the lonely night
a voice raised with sax
blues counterpoint
candles and
moonlight
illuminate this magic night—
light enough for me
a wave breaks
upon the cloud cooled sand
canon beach sunrise
caught in the
headlights
the deer stands frozen in place
heart caught in a lie
grey with rain
clouds line the mountain's craggy ridge
like a winter cloak
adieu d’amour
c’est un cri terrible du coeur
enfin silence
