Cindy Tebo, US

Haiku

still jobless
I put all my troubles
into the blueberry cobbler

Tanka

the intensity
of blue sky
after an eastbound rain
you have left me
stunned and directionless

all at once
the scent of pines
carried by a cool breeze
a few shades better than
anything I could write

a solid line
between my brows
after all those beatings
the sun's just begun
to put a dent in me

every sunset
the cedars burn
without counting
how many times
they have done this
