The Year Ends

freezing fog—
the evening air tastes
like winter

twinkling stars—
hoarfrost covers every fir needle

New Year`s wishes—
our breaths meet
and become one

midnight
fireworks brighten
the frosted orchard

morning snow—
there`s no way back

slowly disappearing
my reflection on the slide
—snowflakes
